 tent et_pb_gutters3'>\n		<p><strong>NMCDHH Interpreter Apprentice Program wa
 nts you for FY 25!</strong></p>\n<p>The New Mexico Commission for Deaf & H
 ard of Hearing Apprenticeship Program is a part time\, paid 12-month progr
 am designed to help interpreters develop their tools and knowledge to effe
 ctively interpret in a variety of scenarios and to prepare for a national 
 level interpreter assessment. This program is not limited to recent gradua
 tes of an interpreter training program but is open to all interpreters who
  are eligible for a New Mexico Provisional Interpreter License.  The FY 25
  program will run July 2024 to June 2025.</p>\n<p><strong>What are some of
  the benefits?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paid opportunities for observation\
 , professional development\, and interpreting</li>\n<li>A personalized pro
 fessional development plan that meets your skills where they are and grows
  as you hone those skills</li>\n<li>One-on-one mentoring with a certified 
 mentor</li>\n<li>Work with a peer group of apprentices in structured oppor
 tunities to develop your skills in theoretical and practical interpreting<
 /li>\n<li>Work with a diverse Deaf and Hard of Hearing staff who are gener
 ous with feedback</li>\n<li>Interpret in a variety of high register and in
 teractive assignments</li>\n<li>Learn how to use and apply Demand Control 
 Schema to your work for effective\, ethical decision-making</li>\n<li>Prep
 are for a national level interpreter assessment</li>\n<li>Receive the oppo
 rtunity to contract with the Commission after successfully completing the 
 apprenticeship</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Applications will be due no later t
 han 2:00 pm MST on Monday April 1\, 2024\, with interviews to follow.</str
